We are thrilled to share and celebrate the remarkable success story of Agnikul Cosmos and the significant role played by one of our talented students, Jagappradeep S. In July 2022, Jagappradeep joined Agnikul Cosmos as an Embedded Software Engineer in the Avionics department. His journey and contributions to this pioneering space startup are a testament to the talent and skills nurtured at our institute.
An embedded display is a screen that connects to an embedded device. The screen provides information about how the device is working and allows users to interact with it. During the product development, the developer should consider the type of display to be used in the product. As we discussed, there are many display options available in the market like TFT, LCD, OLED, AMOLED, e-Ink etc.
With substantial funding of $42 million, Agnikul Cosmos has quickly risen to prominence as one of the highest-funded space startups in India. Their innovative approach and dedication to pushing the boundaries of space technology have culminated in several significant milestones, the latest being a sub-orbital test flight of the Agnibaan SOrTeD (Sub-Orbital Technology Demonstrator) from their private launchpad at Sriharikota.
On a historic day, Agnikul Cosmos launched its first sub-orbital test vehicle powered by the world’s first single-piece 3D-printed rocket engine, Agnilet. This engine uses sub-cooled oxygen as fuel, marking India’s first flight with a semi-cryogenic engine. The successful launch from the privately established Dhanush launchpad at Sriharikota is a significant leap forward for the Indian space sector.
The Agnibaan SOrTeD mission, designed to reach a height of about 8 kilometres before splashing into the sea, showcased several firsts. It not only demonstrated the capabilities of the semi-cryogenic engine but also highlighted the innovative spirit and technical prowess of Agnikul Cosmos. The mission’s success is a testament to the countless hours of hard work, reviews, and the unwavering support of IN-SPACe and ISRO.
A part of this historic mission was our very own Jagappradeep S, who played his role as an Embedded Software Engineer in the Avionics department. His journey from our institute to being an integral part of Agnikul Cosmos' pioneering team is a source of immense pride for us. Jagappradeep's contributions underscore the quality of training and education imparted at our institute, preparing students to excel in cutting-edge industries.
Jagappradeep’s success is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our faculty and the comprehensive training programs we offer. His success is a shining example of the excellence and potential that our institute fosters. We are committed to nurturing talent and equipping our students with the skills needed to thrive in rapidly evolving technological landscapes.
Heartiest congratulations to Agnikul Cosmos for their extraordinary achievement! The successful completion of the Agnibaan SOrTeD-01 mission is a significant milestone, showcasing India's capabilities in space technology.
As we celebrate this momentous occasion, we look forward to witnessing many more groundbreaking achievements from Agnikul Cosmos and our talented students. Together, we continue to push the boundaries of innovation and contribute to the bright future of space exploration.
